FBUNC Football University National Championship

Welcome to the Football University National Championship. The worlds largest national football tournament in the country, which showcases  the elite 5-8th grade student athletes.

Sports Prep USA is the managing partner of Team Houston.

Tryout / Team Info


All  tryouts are non padded.  Student athletes are required to wear athletic wear and cleats.

Tryouts are available to all incoming 5-8th grade elite student athletes.

All student athletes that are selected from each tryout, will advance to the next round of tryouts. 

Tryout results are posted 72 hours after the tryout. Athletes will be notified by phone or email that their son has made the team. This information will be posted on this web page.

Tryout Fee: $40.00. No refunds. cash, money orders  are accepted. No checks.

All student athletes that advance to the next round of tryouts, do not have to pay another tryout fee. Only one tryout fee is paid.

Walk ins welcome.

Upon completing the final tryout- all players and parents that have been selected are required to attend parent orientation and parent meetings.( TBA) 

Team Fee $280. Full /Pay plans avail. Team Fees are  Non refundable when an student athlete has paid to secure a roster spot. 

All athletes are required to provide their own helmets and all pads. 

Uniform -Players receive a game jersey, pants,  swag bag.

Eligibility Requirements: athlete are eligible by current grade 5-8th grade. Birthdate Requirements - 6th grade- can not turn 13 on or before Aug 1, 7th grade - can not turn 14 on or before Aug 1, 8th grade -can not turn 15 on or before Aug 1.  Student Athletes will be required to register and meet all requirements with  National Sports I D.

Due to  fundraising requirements -athletes joining the team after fundraising programs have been completed, will be required to pay the fundraising buyout fee of $100.

Please make sure you attend all Parent Conference Calls.

A non refundable payment will be required to secure a roster position if  an athlete is selected to join the team. All deadlines must be met.




Once you have confirmed your participation and  been invited to the team, your team fee is non-refundable.

Team Houston Tailgate Cookout (funds raised will benefit Team Houston )

Online Raffle- Team Houston Treasure

Team Houston Treasure is an online raffle fundrasier benefiting Team Houston. Tickets are $10.00 per person.  Win the jackpot! 80 % OF THE FUNDS RAISED WILL BENEFIT TEAM HOUSTON. 


Payments are made by debit / credit card .

Documents / Forms

All players must be registered with National Sports ID. National Sports ID is a national verification company that certifies all players and coaches.  Required  documents must be uploaded to National Sports ID.  Please see the document need listed below. 

  • Head shot photo (colored and clear to view)
  • Copy of birth certificate or State ID
  • Copy of report card ( current reporting period)




Hotel / Travel

Hotel - We reserve a host hotel. Booking is to be announced. Rooms are blocked and you must meet the deadline to reserve your room. If reservation deadline is not met, you will be responsible for booking your room and charged a higher rate. 

Travel - All families will provide transportation.

  When traveling to Naples, Florida we will travel by either bus or air plane. This will  depend on cost / time. TBD. Families have the option to travel with the team or with their parents.
